Jaké pravidla EU vám poskytují

Čtrnáct hlavních alergenů — včetně obilovin obsahujících lepek — musí být deklarováno v celé EU, v balených potravinách a v potravinových službách. Pravidla jsou dostatečně jednotná, že cestovatel s celiakií, který se pohybuje mezi členskými státy, čelí stejnému rámce označování, což je podstatná a nedoceněná výhoda.

Co se liší, je vymáhání, jak potravinové služby zveřejňují (ústně, na menu, v brožurách) a kulturní povědomí o tomto stavu. Některé země mají vysoké veřejné povědomí o celiakii; jiné ji považují za preference.

Praktický systém

  1. Získejte překladovou kartu v místním jazyce, která uvádí stav lékařsky, jmenuje to, co je třeba se vyhnout, a zmiňuje sdílené fritézy a povrchy. Karta jde do kuchyně; ústní věta nikoli.
  2. Naučte se číst seznam ingrediencí, ne jazyk. Alergeny jsou typograficky zvýrazněny v celé EU, takže je můžete najít, aniž byste museli číst zbytek.
  3. Rezervujte si ubytování s lednicí a konvicí. To promění obtížnou cestu v obyčejnou.
  4. Mějte s sebou bezpečné jídlo na cestovní dny. Letiště, stanice a dlouhé cesty jsou místa, kde se lidé dostávají do potíží.
  5. Najděte místní asociaci pro celiakii nebo alergie. Většina evropských zemí má jednu, několik z nich zveřejňuje seznamy míst.
  6. Vezměte si dostatek léků — včetně autoinjektorů adrenalinu, pokud je to relevantní — a mějte s sebou předpis.

Pojištění a dokumentace

Zkontrolujte, že cestovní pojištění pokrývá váš stav, a mějte s sebou dokumentaci o jakýchkoli lécích v originálním balení s předpisem. V rámci EU pokrývá Evropská karta zdravotního pojištění nezbytnou státem poskytovanou léčbu, což není totéž jako cestovní pojištění a nenahrazuje ho.
